WebMar 3, 2024 · If that does not work, try moving your SquareEnix directory out of Program FIles (x86). The game doesn't care where it launches, just that its inside this folder. From there create a shortcut to the ffxivboot or ffxivboot64 executable depending on your computers bits (Should be 64) and move that to your desktop.

WebSep 23, 2024 · In there, seek for "ffxivupdater.exe" and "ffxivupdater64.exe" and right click each of them, go to properties, click on the compatibility tab, and then check it to "Run as administrator" (I'd do the same also to "ffxivboot.exe" and "ffxivboot64.exe").
