WebCrye jpc vs avs. With everyone getting checks I figured I would look into upgrading my plate carrier, but I've noticed something weird about the pricing on Crye. A stripped down JPC goes for $240 without the shown molle flap, but if you want to build your own AVS, the plate pouch set (doesn't include cummerbund or shoulder straps) is $340. WebThat said, if we're talking work use there's no question between the JPC/SPC and the LV119. The LV119 is generally a recreational/civilian kit and the JPC and SPC are designed for professional use. I use an SPC and I'm a big fan. I also own a LV119 and JPC for shits n gigs. bradsredditacct • 2 yr. ago.

WebI've got both. The chief reason I run the AVS professionally is because it's issued. The AAC is a great option and arguably better as a dedicated medium plate carrier. The AVS is basically 3 plate carriers in one. It's a minimalist plate carrier (albeit a poor one), a medium plate carrier, and a full armor chassis. WebIt is good. However it may be a little overkill for general use for a civilian looking to protect themselves in SHTF scenarios and flat range training. Ultimately you need to decide if it fits your needs. WebThe AVS is terrible in plate carrier configuration, the CBs are too short and the shoulder straps are too long. If you buy your own adapters it isn't bad. In harness configuration it's better but a lot of guys don't like it that way. WebI don’t have the Crye but I got my mayflower 48hr yesterday and it’s alright. Exterior elastic flap would make a good easy access/stowage of a rain jacket or other soft items.
